Nikki Bohne To Star In LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL In Jackson

Newcomer Nikki Bohne will star in a new tour of the Tony-nominated LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL launching today in Jackson, Mississippi. Bohne, a recent graduate of Brigham Young University, will play the role originated in the film by Reese Witherspoon, and onstage by Tony nomiee Laura Bell Bundy. Bohne's regional credits include Aida (Amneris) and West Side Story (Anybodys) both at the Hale Center Theatre, Footloose (Rusty) and Annie Get Your Gun (Annie), both at the Playmill Theatre.

Also joining the cast will be Hannah DeFlumeri as 'Vivienne.' This tour marks her national touring debut.

In its first year on Broadway, LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL earned seven 2007 Tony Award nominations, ten 2007 Drama Desk Award Nominations, and a 2007 Outer Critics Circle Award. The musical also ranked in the top ten list of the most requested Ticketmaster "Arts & Theatre Events" for 2007. LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL received three 2009 Touring Broadway Awards for Best New Musical, Best Production Design and Best Choreography of a Touring Production.

In the fall of 2007, MTV aired LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL in its entirety to stellar ratings and was subsequently nominated for two 2007-2008 Daytime Emmy Awards.

Marc Bruni, the Broadway production's Associate Director, will be re-creating Jerry Mitchell's original direction and choreography.

Rounding out the cast will be Matthew Ragas (Warner), Nic Rouleau (Emmett), Kahlil Joseph (Callahan), Jillian Wallach (Paulette), Sarah Beth Pfeifer (Enid), Shannon Mullen (Brooke), Brit West (Pilar), Nadia Vynnytsky (Serena), and Maggie Taylor (Margot). Rounding out the ensemble are Ken Arpino, Nicole Brancucci, Matthew Sean Callahan, Joel Ingram, Richard Jarrett, Andre Jordan, Michael Milton, Kevin Michael Raponey, Ryan Turner, Andy White, Jessie Hooker, Beth Kuhn, Rochelle Smith, Kasey Walker, and Caroline Cuseo.
